职位要求：

1.申请人需具有学士学位，微生物学、生物科学或相关学科优先，并具有最少3年实验室管理经验；或具有相关背景的硕士学位，并具有最少一年的资格后经验。

2.拥有实验室安全方面的高级培训和微生物实验室工作知识将获优先考虑。

3.候选人应具备良好的人际交往和组织能力，以及良好的英语和中文书面和口语能力。

工作条件和待遇：

1.获取录之申请人将按合约条款聘用，合约为期1-2年，如果表现良好并经双方同意，可以续约。

招聘岗位二：研究助理

1.进行分子生物学及NGS实验，如DNA 提取，文库制备，测序，细菌培养，生化和分子测定等。

2.支持实验室的日常运作，包括采购，质量检测和保证，库存和实验室记录管理等。

3.收集和处理样本(包括 COVID-19 样本)。

职位要求：

1.微生物学，生物科学，生物化学，生命科学，或相关专业的学士或以上学历。

2.有项目研究的经验，熟悉微生物及分子生物的知识和技能如收集和保存样本，微生物培养植，核酸提取，PCR，测序，动物实验等更佳。

3.具有测序仪的实际操作经验更佳。

4.具有良好的沟通能力和团队协作能力並能独立承担项目。

5.能超时工作

Job Advertisement 1– Assistant Laboratory Manager

The appointee will coordinate with Senior Laboratory Manager in managing the laboratory in Shenzhen Research Institute, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Responsibilities include providing support to lab users as necessary; ensuring compliance with lab operation standards and regulatory requirements; monitoring and assessing laboratory safety; upkeeping laboratory inventories and equipment; training new staff and provide safety refreshment courses to all staff.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Microbiology, Biological Science, or related disciplines with at least 3 years laboratory management experience; or a master’s degree in relevant background with at least 1-year post-qualification experience.

Evidence of advanced training in laboratory safety and knowledge in working in microbiology laboratories would be advantages. Candidates should have good interpersonal and organizational skills and good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). (Duration: 1-2 years, subject to discussion, renewable).

Job Advertisement 2 – Research assistant

We are looking for candidates interested in molecular biology / microbiology to participate in human microbiome research. Our work primarily focuses on interactions between the host, microorganisms and the environment, with a goal of understanding how such processes shape microbial communities in the gut and influence host health.

Job description：

1.performing molecular biology & NGS experiments, such as DNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing, bacterial culture, biochemical and molecular assays, etc;

2.supporting general lab operation, including procurement, quality check and assurance, and managing inventory and laboratory records, etc;

3.sample collection and processing (include COVID-19 samples).

Job requirements：

1.hold a bachelor’s degree or above preferably in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related fields;

2.be experienced in research laboratory, proficiency in microbiology and molecular biology techniques such as sample collection and preservation, microbial culture, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, animal work, etc. will be advantageous;

3.have experience in operating sequencer will be advantageous;

4.be a team player with good motivation but able to work independently;

5.be able to work overtime.

1.Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
